FESTIVAL OPERA PRIMA CALL FOR ENTRIES
Selection of performances for Opera Prima Festival XXII Rovigo, 10 / 14 June 2025
We received 736 proposals in response to the Call for Proposals for the Opera Prima 2025 Festival, These proposals have arrived not only from Italy but, really, from all over the world (link below).
While on the one hand this resounding number of participants fills us with pride because it signals the implicit recognition received by our Festival, on the other makes the selection for us very hard.
Although the artistic committee is currently made up of ten people, examining and viewing more than 700 proposals will be for us a commitment at the limit. All this, however, is the signal of a theatrical ferment that often remains ignored, and confirms the need for a Festival as Opera Prima in its function of exploring and programming what is new, valuable and underground in the context of the performing arts, not only in Italy, but around the world.
