GIARDINI DUE TORRI
CHE CAVOLO GUARDI?
CRITICAL WORKSHOP

A guided viewing workshop led by Michele Pascarella

This year as well, Festival Opera Prima organises a viewing workshop on the performances, aimed at spectators of all ages.
The workshop, led by critic Michele Pascarella, will guide participants through a process of deepening their gaze, leading them to produce written texts that will be published online on a dedicated page of our Festival website.

When I look, what do I look at and above all how do I look?
To “watch oneself watching”, as the philosopher would say.
The object to observe: several performances, very different from one another.
To watch them and then recount them.

Through a large number of examples (from the history of theatre, visual arts and literature), some exercises in viewing and writing, and many dialogues, we will try to become spectators (and more broadly, citizens) who are a little more aware.
No specific competence is required, only curiosity and the desire to question the elementary and decisive gesture of looking and how it, often unconsciously, creates reality. Looking, recounting, becoming aware: ultimately, it will be about seeking that diminishment of the self which alone allows the world, even the strange world of the stage, to reveal itself.
