OPERA PRIMA FESTIVAL 1994

‘The Opera Prima Festival, in continuity with a similar festival that took place in Narni some ten years ago, proposes, against the current trend, to offer a significant, though not exhaustive, panorama of the trends and different paths taken by young experimental theatre today. It is an obvious fact that the generation of the 1970s has not been replaced in recent years by a new theatrical generation, also and above all due to a market that is increasingly tending to discriminate against the new. The performances on offer bear witness to an incandescent territory, difficult to classify but always extremely vital. The Festival is dedicated to Martino Ferrari who was one of the founders and director of Teatro del Lemming.’ (From the festival booklet)
