Score of Seasons – concert for Mahvash Sabet is a small contemporary work that intertwines voices, sounds and verses to give life to an original score of poetry and resistance: a reflection on the word as an irreplaceable and revolutionary instrument of freedom and existence. The original music and texts by Serena Abrami and Enrico Vitali encounter the verses of Mahvash Sabet, an Iranian poet and educator imprisoned in Evin prison, in Tehran, from where she continues, with courage, to transmit a message of hope through her noble spirit. The proposed journey has a universal breath: it starts from the Iranian issue in order to extend to the whole world. The desire is to give voice to lives threatened by wars, to lives forced into exile, so that what happens around us is not perceived only as something “far away”.
Serena Abrami, Enrico Vitali and Manuel Coccia are three musicians from the Marche region with twenty years of experience in the musical world, who over time have approached theatre and experimentation linked to the intertwining of different artistic languages. As part of the band Leda, they compose and perform live the music for the work in progress Don Chisciotte ad ardere, for Ermanna Montanari and Marco Martinelli of Teatro delle Albe, commissioned by Ravenna Festival.
