Claudia and Sandro have been friends for twenty years. They know everything about each other and they are very different. They both live crushed by a suffocating feeling of danger, but they do not even agree on the reasons behind all this fear. The world is unmanageable: international conflicts, environmental disasters, alienation, consumerism, hyper-technological development, genetic mutations and neck pain. They do not know which way to turn: they feel they have no possibility of affecting the reality surrounding them. They lay themselves bare, on stage, in a tight tragicomic duel made of cutting jokes, declarations of love, humiliations and awkward attempts at salvation. One hour of shock therapy open to the public, where laughing at one’s own failures becomes a liberating act: an invitation to remain human.
Claudia Caldarano is an artist active in the field of performing arts. Since 2010 she has created works favouring immersive forms and building a specific pact with the spectator through devices of shared participation. She is an actress and founder of the collective Teatro dei Gordi and since 2014 has collaborated with choreographer Virgilio Sieni.
Sandro Pivotti graduated in 2010 from the Paolo Grassi Civic School of Dramatic Art in Milan. In the same year he was among the founders of Teatro dei Gordi. He worked in dance with Fattoria Vittadini. With the Gordi he won the Hystrio Iceberg Award 2019 and the Critics’ Prize 2020.
