How does one find happiness? From 2021 to today, more than three million people in Italy have decided to leave their previous lives to begin new ones, as if suddenly all the inhabitants of Rome decided to change jobs, to live better, to feel well.
The audience sits at the tables: it is the opening night of a place that is an adventure into the world of wine by two women who have left everything behind, resigning from their previous lives. Everything is ready, the wine is about to be served, but something from the two women’s past returns to disturb this life adventure. The rhythm is pressing, the story intoxicating, misunderstandings, twists and turns, all watered with wine, which is the absolute protagonist of this play.
Happy Hour continues the group’s experimentation, leading it to work in a situation where the audience finds itself not only very close to the performers, but completely immersed in the story.
Qui e Ora works on original dramaturgy and loves to engage and collaborate with other artists in order to give life to its works, in a continuous blending of languages and visions. It is theatre that speaks about the present, that tries to build collective imaginaries and give strength to contradictions through an ironic gaze. Qui e Ora means meeting people. Making everyday life an artistic act and vision. Rediscovering the sense of community and art that every territory expresses.
