It always seems like a crazy bet to try to stage, with a group of boys, a poem from the Dante Aligheri's Inferno, fully and rigorously respecting the Dantesque word - yet all this happened with extreme simplicity, with a vital and exciting energy . We are convinced that it is necessary to challenge the widespread prejudice that considers Dante Alighieri's words too lofty or too distant to be fully understood and rendered by a group of very young actors. We would like to demonstrate that these words seem written precisely to be inhabited by adolescent bodies, bodies pulsating with life and ardor.
After the First Poem addressed last year, here we are then to challenge the scene with the Third Poem of Inferno in the presence of the lazy. The scenic writing that we have operated does not want to underline or clarify the meaning of the words, but rather to propose itself as a further poetic reverberation.
The work was born within a laboratory project created for the students of the Paleocapa Scientific High School in Rovigo. Presented in April in its theatrical form, the scenic material is reproposed at the Festival as an Environmental Study. A small poetic quiver within the daily flow of the city.
