In FAUST Memories Lenz returns to the Faustian trilogy, to the great Goethean fresco that has marked for three years (2000-2002) the artistic and theatrical production of the company. There were many meetings on the way of poetic research and so many places of this journey of knowledge: so many "moving figures" that still animate the memory of the re-creation of a romantic work that is still alive, of a work that echoes ancient echoes from legendary stories. The dramaturgy of FAUST Memories concentrates in a monologue solo the striving, the Faustian fury of knowledge, what the boundless Nature still hides, yet saves man. The Monologue, which takes on all the dialogues that Faust recites to himself in the long flight of a lifetime, performs the rite of return, of the flight backwards leading to the future. Goethe saw, as a young man, a puppet play about the legend of Faust, the magician and puppets put in his hands the very soul of the future work. The Puppet, the Angel, the Spirit of Time, Donald Duck will be, for Lenz, the heroes talking about these FAUST Memories.
Founded in the late eighties "in the contemporary theatrical scene, the Lenz, with their grammatical stage-installation, rigorous artistic practice, exclusive aesthetic language, radical sense of expression, represent a unique team, For which the word "research" continues to be the driving force behind their vision. From Shakespeare to Goethe, from Ovid to Kleist, each new dramaturgical elaboration is a true journey into a vision of the world. And of man". Giuseppe Distefano - The Sun 24 Hours
