The telescope has undergone a traumatic shift and its lenses and slides have been irreparably re-set. It has become impossible to determine whether what is seen in the telescope is the surface of a distant planet or the microscopic reflection of the inside of the viewer’s eye. Despite everything, this new world has been thoroughly studied and documented. The Telescope looks, through a broken telescope, a world that reacts to our gaze, a world that is a reflection of the viewer. A series of magnetic events and chemical reactions are staged under the microscope camera and presented live as a documentary on an unknown land.

Tim Spooner is an English artist working on the correspondences between the physical world and the world of ideas. In his works, Tim combines his fascination for the manipulation of objects and puppets with drawing, painting and performance. Playing with size and perspective, the artist creates surreal shows that reveal the particularities and idiosyncrasies of the objects he is manipulating. Since 2010 he has been constantly dedicated to the creation of live works based on the revelation of life in matter. Closely linked to this project is the continuous production of paintings and composite images. His work has been shown in many European and Asian countries.
