Steli is one of the performances in the Reaction cycle, a larger experimental project that investigates, according to the company’s typical poetics, the relationship between visual arts and theatre. From the research conducted by Stalker Teatro in recent years, in collaboration with the Education Department of the Castello di Rivoli on some works of contemporary art, several visual performances have been born. The different "performative paintings" that make up the show are based on the use of simple props freely inspired by the works of some artists from the collection of the Castello di Rivoli: Christian Boltanski, Joseph Kouuth, Jannis Kounellis, etc. Starting from the idea of "inhabiting" the places of daily life, the performers of Stalker Teatro with the collaboration of the spectators create an original dramaturgy of the environment through the realization "live" of some original scenic constructions . The spectators will find themselves caught in a kind of happening, unique and unrepeatable event that combines the elements of artistic creation and collective play, community ritual and celebration.

Stalker Teatro has been professionally active since the 1970s in the field of performance art and develops its own research into the relationship between performance and visual arts, producing performances and performative events with a strong social vocation, In the 1990s he developed important projects with Michelangelo Pistoletto in Italy and Europe at festivals, theatres, universities and contemporary art museums. In August 2009 the company receives, for the theatre section, the national prize "Franco Enriquez". In 2014 the ANCT prize (National Association of Theatre Critics) - "Theatres of Diversity" (European magazine).
