Write to unknown people, get in touch with those who do not have a familiar face. The work activates the possibility of dialogue in the suspension of waiting, in the intimacy of a closed envelope and in the surprise of receiving or not something from someone you do not know.
A participatory performance that uses mail communication as a tool to question the reality of the present. A show that reaches the city through handwritten letters and in the live encounter, in the presence. The audience sits at the same table as the author/performer who, through the narration and the use of the video, tells their own experience, reflects on time and space, and invites the audience to write a new letter themselves, thus generating a chain mechanism of multiplication of writings and spellings. The personal traces appear on the writing table in a story that reveals memory, biography and imagination.
The solitary experience of writing becomes a shared experience in the performance, an intimate act is transformed into a public action.

Maria Luisa Usai actress, author and director of multidisciplinary shows and projects. She was born in Sassari.
Since 2015 you have been working in the spaces of cities and in the interstices of reality with relational / community experiments, site specific and multidisciplinary scenic creations. She is active in community artistic actions with workshops, performances and interdisciplinary projects aimed at adolescents, Roma, migrants, women. In 2021 she is one of the finalists of the Venice Biennale College Performer. In the same year she was the winner, as audiovisual author, of the Avisa (Visual Anthropology in Sardinia) call for Isre.
