The show brings to the stage a reflection on loss, on possession, on what remains. The story of the Polesine flood of 1951 embraces the story of an adult woman, who between separations, changes, removals, mortgages, tells us about a flood on the contrary, full of houses, objects, and the possibility of choice. A monologue on voluntary and involuntary uprooting, on events that change our lives, on the people who come to our aid.
Autumn 1951: it rains. The flood of the Po breaks its banks and the Polesine becomes a huge lake of 70 square kilometers. We flee without being able to choose what to bring, we return to start over.
Autumn 2021: it rains. A woman is struggling with yet another move, scans the rooms and decides to take everything away. Everything she has.
In her monologue, Matilde Vigna intertwines the two stories, natural and personal tragedy: on the one hand loss, bewilderment, escape and on the other separations, removals and mortgages. Is it really possible to lose everything?

Matilde Vigna was born in Trecenta, in the province of Rovigo, in 1988. In 2015 she graduated from the Scuola del Teatro Stabile in Turin, under the direction of Valter Malosti. In the two-year period 2015-2016 she participates in the Higher Education course of Emilia Romagna Teatro directed by Antonio Latella. She won the Ubu 2019 Award as best actress under 35 and Eleonora Duse Award she is an emerging actress for the 2020/21 season. You were part of the group chosen by the Bellini Theater in Naples for the Zona Rossa project, which saw the artists closed in the theater for 76 days (20/12 / 2020-05 / 03/2021).
