A funeral, set in a Buenos Aires neighborhood, in the house of a family of italian immigrants. A lone woman, without family, without anyone to tell her what to do. She welcomes guests/audience members with homemade biscuits, with flavoured water, with her misteries. Not a lot is known of the family, so reserved. But now she has someone to talk with, she wants to confess to her neighbors something she had never said before.
Norberto Presta interprets Martita, a woman who gives up everything, bewitched by the nostalgia for a past that's not her own, trapped in a life she believes is the only acceptable one, burdened by an ideology she can't even recognize or name.
Why? Ignorance? Naivety? Fear? Love?

Actor, director, teacher and playwright, half-Italian half-Argentinian, Norberto Presta started his career in 1971. He studied at the Buenos Aires City School and the National Conservatory in Argentina. In 1981, he takes part in ISTA (International School of Theatre Anthropology) guided by Eugenio Barba in Volterra, Italy. HE reaches Europe in 1981. In 1981 and 1982, he takes part in the Festival di Santarcangelo. Since then he works between Europe, Argentina and Brasil. He wrote, directed and performed around 100 performances; he took part in Festival in Italy, Mexico, Austria, Czech Republic, Spain, Argentina, Brasil, Ecuador. He works hard on didactic activities and he has regular collaborations with dance and theater groups all around the world. In a theater where body and image are the main characters, the form and the content of Presta's creations are social and poltical themes. He still keeps his activity going by directing performances for private houses and/or independent spaces, almost invisible in the great but hidden world of the italian theater.
