I've always sang during my performances, even when I was dancing furiously. My bady, my movements are the map for what I'm feeling, and my singing is what I need to be alive.
Concerto Fisico is a composition for a physical and vocal intstrument, not a nostalgic, but a crooked and bentgreatest hits to tell the story of a group through their own tellings. A juke-box that awakens the feelings of a memory that's still present, that speaks about our transformations, about tha sand we're coming from, about the Creatures, the wooden horse from Troy, the fire extinguisher thrown in the dark, about the milk sea where Woyzeck and Andres talk about nothing, Desdemona's desperate scream, about what happenes in Thebes, about the Resistance, the fight, the Revolution, about the Bad Lambs inside of us, about the mirrored floor and an orange rope, about power and the heavy coat used in 1918, about stuffed foxes, sexual seasons, about death, about a brasilian girl with a green feather, about a small white dog, about taboos, about plastic ducks and Kenyan acrobats, about firefighters and priests, about an accident and a service station, about a radio and a city that's always on fire, about the reason behind the things. Then everything disappears, taken by the eyes, as it never happened...
Concerto Fisico is a musical narration, divided in actions that talk about and change the story of Balletto Civile, my story, my company story. A company that was founded during a long residence, for artistic reasons, in the ex asylum in Udine, one of the places where Basaglia deeply changed the idea of madness itself. It was there that my art was born, closed off from the world and yet in the middle of its burning fire.

A globe-trotter group, moved by an ethic tension, Balletto Civile was founded in 2003 by Michela Lucenti. Its creative approach is a research based on the movement of the relationship between the actors themselves. It works on a language that is absolute, where acting, dancing and singing all interact organically.
