Bo.Ro.Fra is a performance with dances and percussions of african ispiration. A project born in the shelters of Cooperativa Sociale Porto Alegre. Guests, workers and citizens, guided by Alseny Bangoura, an artist from Guinea, work all together for a captivating show full of rhythm, movements, colours.
Bo.Ro.Fra doesn't need a stage: his scene are streets and squares, places where music and dance mix together in an explosion of colours and rhythm, there where the city heart beats, where the audience can simply watch or also be part of the show with its own dancing. No barriers, no differences.
An ancient kind of art with a lot of tradition, but also quite contemporary in its message, characterized by hospitality and multiculturalism.
Porto Alegre, the place in Rovigo where the PROGETTO BO.RO.FRA lives, is a social cooperative offering several kind of services and helping people at a social disvantage to be included in the working world. The names was inspired by the city of Porto Alegre, in Brasil. A city ruled with participatory budget and location of the first World Social Forum. The cooperative is formed by 15 soci and lead by 70 workers, 20 outside collaborators and 20 volunteers. The cooperative is part of a net that links together several different realities, from the local area, the region and the whole country. It's part of the committee helping out homeless people, part of the Community of practice on refugees, and also part of the national Cantiere Accoglienza Migranti of Cnca.
