In Camus' mind, there's an existential tragedy that runs inside Caligola.
This performance wants to underline the author's point of view more than what is actually happening in the text. The different characters have no characterization, what is told could be a single stream of consciousness. It's a rebellion against an unacceptable condition. The understanding of a "clairvoyance of loneliness".
So many voices making themselves heard thorugh the awareness of a single man. It wants to be the freedom to explain and show oneself. It's the starting point of a path through Camus' ideas of absurdity and human condition (the absurdity of the human condition itself, the divorce between men and life, like the divorce between actors and stage).

Bernardo Casertano was born in Caserta, but he soon moved to Rome, where he attended the Teatro dei Cocci academy, under the guide of Isabella Del Bianco and Cristiano Censi. His artistic point of view moves its first steps in a classic environment, but soon flows into contemporary theater. Among his teachers, Giancarlo and Pierpaolo Sepe, Sabino Civilleri, Manuela Lo Sicco, Ilaria Drago. He brings on the scenes his first performance as a directo, "Dino", inspired by Jan Fabre's The King of Plagiarism. He has worked both in tv shows and movies, side by side with importans names like Alessandro Dalatri, Paolo Genovese, Manetti bros, Carlo Verdone, Francesco Vicario, Michele Soavi. In 2017, he plays in Alessio Cremonini's "On my skin" and Michele Soavi's "Rocco Chinnici", in which he plays the role of Paolo Borsellino.
