NATIONAL DEBUT

In 1977, the psychologist Arthur Aron, with the help of other researchers, published the article "Experimental creation of interpersonal intimacy". In his research, Aron wrote 36 questions developed in order to help two strangers talk with each other in a way that made their relationship become more and more personal. This study says that opening up to another person and the idea itself of putting ourselves in a position of vulnerability develops a strong intimacy that will become sudden love.
Would you like to be famous? When was the last time you sang to yourself? And in front of someone else? What's your worst memory? Are you close with your family?
4 dancers... 36 questions... A cross between a talk show and a confession, this project shares moments of intimany between the performers' life and creates 50 minutes of something that's more a sharing of something powerful than a traditional performance. At the start of the performance, these questions are given to the audience. After the performance, tha audience is asked to stay and keep on talking, in order to create a cozy place for everyone, so that they can sit with each other and keep on asking questions.
We're basically looking for connections with other people and we believe that these 36 questions are a way to break down walls and meet the real person. By using this experiment not only for love but also for a mutual understanding and a connection between people inside and outside the same communities, we could enhance understanding and compassion.
