A journey in search of the origins of the art of self-transformation, mimesis, passing from Greek tragedy, we try to go even earlier, to the purely free act of singing and dancing, when the god was Dionysus and the Earth was Mother Divine. It is an essential theatre, which focuses on the encounter between human beings: those who bring and those who follow (the spectators).
Theatre in general, and even more so Tragodìa, performs the function of sublimating the evil of living. This is a vivid need in the body of our current society. We believe that this is the strength that allows this art to resist even, and especially, in times of crisis and recession.

LabPerm di Domenico Castaldo is a Turin-based company founded in 1997. It carries out production, training, event organisation and theatrical research. The artistic research takes place in the area of the relationship between body and mind in the art of acting, in the stimulation of contemporary dramaturgy, with the aim of investigating the complexity of today's society and offering possibilities and readings to support the cultural development of the individual in the third millennium. The means used are scenic writing, the care and revitalisation of spaces for theatrical use, the relationship between movement/voice/musicality and the experimentation of new evocative languages in the individual sphere, but above all in the group. In 2017, LabPerm launched L.U.P.A. Free University on the Person in Harmony.
