We Are Present consists of an instant choreography event, during which a choreographer creates a short choreography with two professional dancers, responding to immediate external stimuli given by the audience. The audience will come into contact with what goes on in a choreographer's mind, the way the dancers work, and gain knowledge that they can take with them to future dance performances they may attend. The audience will also become an active part of the performance. The audience will be asked to make decisions that will influence the creativity of the choreographer who will have to react instantly to the input given to him, relying on his more instinctive creative side, having to make choreographic decisions in the shortest possible time. The dancers will be challenged to learn and transform the information given by the choreographer as quickly as possible. The performance has a precise structure that will help the audience to enter the event feeling progressively involved.
Italian choreographer Fabio Liberti graduated from Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy in 2004. Since then, he has been working full-time in various dance companies in the Netherlands (Conny Janssen Danst), Germany (Stadttheater Hildesheim), Switzerland (Stadttheater Saint Gallen), Italy (AIEP) and Denmark (Danish Dance Theatre). Fabio Liberti's choreographic works have been performed in numerous venues and festivals throughout Europe.
