The workshop will consist, first of all, in finding a way to be together while respecting the protocol regarding the physical distance of one metre between one person and another. But as we know, we human beings are not only made of flesh but also of energy. We live within an energy field and will therefore be equally and deeply together and united even without touching each other, in con-tact without touch!
Everyone will live and move on a 1 metre square of cloth separated by another empty metre of cloth. All the fabric squares are sewn together to form a 50-metre blanket that will be placed in a circle and we will perform a Dancing Mantra (a repeated dance). The first movement will start from the leader and so on from one to the next ad infinitum until we have mastered it.

After having worked with international companies in Belgium, France and Spain under the guidance of choreographers such as Joseph Russillo and Maurice Bejart (he was part of the legendary Ballet du XX° siècle company from 1976 to 1978) and having toured the world with them as a dancer, in 1986 Thierry Parmentier moved to Italy where he began his career as a choreographer. Over the years, he has built a style that is as indefinable as it is recognisable, characterised by the fusion of technique with stage art, costumes - which he designs himself - choreography, direction, body art and mimicry.
