What happens when memory falters, when forgetfulness unsettles the identity of those we love? This performance, filled with tenderness, hope, and unexpected moments, invites us to explore the strength of love and the fragile beauty of memory. Through the story of a family like many others, this quartet of performers from different generations (aged between 24 and 72) pays tribute to what remains—and what is created—when everything seems to fade away. “Forgetfulness transforms our points of reference and overturns the traditional roles within a family, but it doesn’t break the essence of our bonds. That’s where the strength lies: in the love that endures, in the gentleness of mutual help, and in resilience.” It is within this very fragility that the choreographer found her truth: love doesn’t disappear. It reinvents itself, redefines itself, and finds its place beyond forgetfulness.

With this piece, Amalia Salle seeks to highlight the strength of the elderly and the power of intergenerational exchange. Through a contemporary choreographic language influenced by urban energies, she transports us into a musical universe that is eclectic yet harmonious. Far from being a tragedy, this show is an ode to life, where optimism, humor, and perseverance illuminate everyday existence.

Compagnie Bahia was founded in 2018 by choreographer Amalia Salle and brings a unique voice to the landscape of contemporary and urban dance. With her dual Argentine and Italian heritage and 16 years spent in Paris, Amalia Salle infuses the company with a hybrid artistic identity, blending hip-hop and contemporary dance with the rhythms of classical, electronic, and jazz music.
